Pick a Guesser

One person is the Guesser. Everyone else will secretly share a number between 1 and 10 — the Vibe. The Guesser looks away while the number is revealed!

Reveal the Vibe

Pass the phone to everyone except the Guesser. Tap "Reveal the Vibe" to show the secret number. A 10 is the best possible thing in a category — a 1 is the worst.

Give Categories

Pass the phone to the Guesser. They give each person a category — like "vacation destinations" or "desserts." Everyone answers with something they'd rate that number. Need ideas? The app provides hundreds of category prompts!

Make your Guess

Based on everyone's answers, the Guesser tries to feel out the Vibe. They pick a number and confirm their guess!

Find out the Vibe!

The big reveal! See how well the Guesser read the room. The closer their guess, the more points they earn. Then pass it to the next person!


Example Round

The Vibe is 8. The Guesser asks "desserts" — someone says cheesecake. They ask "vacation spots" — someone says Hawaii. They ask "Friday night activities" — someone says rooftop bar. The Guesser thinks... these all sound pretty great... maybe an 8 or 9? They guess 8. Perfect Read!

Scoring System

Points are awarded based on how close the Guesser's guess is to the actual Vibe. The closer the guess, the more points!

How many people can play? ▾
What's the Vibe? works best with 3 or more players, but technically works with 2. Player Mode supports up to 15 players. Team Mode supports 2–7 teams with any number of players per team.
Do I need an internet connection to play? ▾
Nope! What's the Vibe? works completely offline once downloaded. No WiFi, no cellular data needed. Perfect for road trips, camping, or anywhere with spotty signal.
Do I need to create an account? ▾
No account needed! Just download and play. No sign up, no login, no email required.
What is the "Remove Ads" purchase? ▾
The free version of What's the Vibe? shows a short skippable ad after each round. For a one-time purchase of $1.99 you can permanently remove all ads. All game features are available for free — the purchase is purely to remove ads.
How do I restore my "Remove Ads" purchase on a new device? ▾
Tap "Remove Ads" and then look for a "Restore Purchases" option. As long as you're signed into the same Apple ID that made the original purchase, it will restore for free.
Can I come up with my own categories instead of using the app's prompts? ▾
Absolutely! The category prompts in the app are just for inspiration — the Guesser can ask absolutely anything they want. The prompts are there to help when you're stuck, not to limit creativity!
What happens if I accidentally close the app mid-game? ▾
The app saves your game state automatically. When you reopen it, you should see a "Resume Game" option on the home screen to pick up exactly where you left off.
The app isn't working correctly. What should I do? ▾
First try force-closing the app and reopening it. If the issue persists, try deleting and reinstalling the app. If you're still having trouble, please reach out using the contact form below and describe what's happening — we'll get it sorted!
How is this different from Wavelength? ▾
Wavelength is a different game where the clue-giver knows the target and gives hints on a spectrum dial. In What's the Vibe?, the Guesser doesn't know the number and has to figure it out by giving categories and reading everyone else's answers. The roles are essentially reversed — and there's no board or dial needed, just a phone!
